- Finally making my way to Iran after many years of pining for Persia(!) - it completely exceeded my expectations and I've never met more friendly, hospitable people;
- A visit to Galley Head lighthouse in Cork and Hook lighthouse in Wexford;
- Discovering the TV series Succession and persevering during the awful first half of Series 1 - TOTALLY worth it;
- A summer filled with Galway stuff, including my fantastic bookshop personal shopping adventure and eating and drinking my way around the city as part of our Galway Food Tour;
- Getting more confident with my driving and feeling more like a proper grown-up (whatever that is) bopping around, even though motorways still fill me with dread;
- Some lovely family get-togethers and long, inspiring chats with people I care so much about;
- Making my peace with the fact that too much busyness is not good for anyone and it's okay to switch off occasionally - we all need time to ourselves every so often;
- Becoming acquainted with Cadbury Crunchy Melts and Cadbury Roundies - so good but oh, so bad (again, worth it)...
I also did a fair bit of reading over Christmas and have acquired some exciting new books (see above) for 2020. While I'm here, I also wanted to write about the two books below, so here is a little review!
